Should Writer’s Blog About Writing

I’ve decided to enter the blogging challenge by Hunting Down Writing. I saw this on someones blog and thought it was a great ideas. Since it’s only for ten days, I knew that I could do it.  It’s funny that this topic was chosen for Day 1 of the challenge. I’m a writer and I already write about writing. Some people may think it’s boring or irrelevant but to a fellow writer it is necessary. I talk about other things too but writing is the main focus. I feel that writers should blog about writing because it costs a lot of money to get book, attend seminars, webinars, etc. So, if we all can post great writing tools and what has or hasn’t worked for us, then it would be great! Google can have but so much information on writing, right? If we as writers can stick together, then things will work out great! Some people put themselves into different categories of writers such as novelists, authors, screenwriters, game writers, etc. Who cares? At the end of the day, you are writing because you love it! Blogging about writing to me is very fun because I know that i’m able to help someone who may be struggling in a certain area.

  1. Hi there. I’m a 10 Day Blogger too. I agree with what you’re saying. Who understands a writer better than another writer? It’s a lonely line of work, a solitary art form, so it’s good for us to reach out to each other through the blogging community. The sharing of knowledge is also important.

  2. Krystol, you made an excellent point I hadn’t thought about, when you said that writer’s blogging about writing are a method for learning. Books and courses are expensive, and I get so much more learnings from reading other writer blogs myself. Sharing that knowledge, and talking about writing, is something we just naturally do.

    Thanks for making me think.
