Book Review: Forever By Judy Blume

Forever by Judy Blume

I have much to say about this book, but I will not make a rant. However, I will give my honest opinion and review here about this book. Judy Blume was one of my favorite authors growing up. It has been a while since I read anything by her so when I saw this library copy for only one dollar, I picked it up. I am glad that I did not pay full price for this book. This book is  about a high school girl named Elizabeth who goes to a party with her friend and she meets a guy named Michael. They become close and start dating shortly after that. In my opinion Michael is so obsessed with sex it is not even funny. They both are curious, but Elizabeth is the only one that is a virgin. Now, granted, I understand that men or boys have sex on the brain more than girls or women do. But, the book seem to focus so much on much whether she was talking to her mother about it or her friend.

I may have had a different mindset about this book had I read it when I was teenager. But, as an adult, it was just okay for me. I gave this book 3 stars. This was not the best book by this author and it has me a little hesitate to want to read other work from her. But, I will still give her a try.
